I wanted to let you all know about the new math unit we have started this week. We are learning about transformations of 2D shapes. This means the students will learn how to slide, rotate, and reflect shapes on a co-ordinate grid. We will learn the basic skills in the time before Passover Break, and we will continue this unit for a week or two after the break as well.
If you want to practice these skills with your son or daughter, here is a great website.
In science, students are working in pairs to create persuasive posters that will encourage all the students and staff at VTT to conserve electricity. We will hopefully have the posters ready to hang around the school when we return in April, which is Earth Month!

Finally, your son or daughter should be bringing his or her decimal quiz home this week. Please make sure to review it, sign it, and send it back to school by Friday.
