I wanted to let you know that we will be having the last math test of Term 1 next week on Friday, November 28th. The test will cover information about several different topics all covered in Chapter 3 of the math textbook.
As with previous tests, there will be some time in class next week to work on the Chapter 3 review from the textbook. I also gave out an extra practice worksheet to interested students on Friday. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
- Factors: Students should know how to make factor rainbows and factor trees.
- Multiples: Students should be able to list multiples and solve problems involving multiples.
- Prime and Composite Numbers: Students should be able to identify prime and composite numbers using their knowledge of factors.
- Integers: Recently, we started to learn about positive and negative whole numbers. Students should be able to compare integers using pictures or a number line.
- Order of operations: Later this week and next week, students will learn the order of operations for solving equations.
