Welcome Parents of Grade Six Students,
I wanted to post a brief message to introduce myself now that the school year has started. My name is Stephanie Ballard, and I will be your child's math and science teacher for grade six. I am very pleased to be continuing in this teaching role for the second year. I love exploring topics in math and science, and I hope to share my enthusiasm about these subjects with the students in grade six!
I aim to write a blog post once a week to share what we are learning about in class. I will also let you know about upcoming tests and quizzes on the blog. While you are here, please explore the resources pag e to find links to several educational math and science websites. There is also a link to the online homework document on the homework page. This document will contain the homework from all of the grade six teachers. Your child will learn how to log-in to view this very shortly. Please ask him or her about it next week!
Information about curriculum, assessment, and policies will be available on Curriculum Night on September 23rd. For now, I wanted to let you know that I am looking forward to meeting all of you over the next few weeks. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. I will be able to respond the fastest to e-mails, and my contact information is on the contact page of this blog.
I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with your child during a fun-filled and educational year at Vancouver Talmud Torah.
Warm regards,
Stephanie Ballard
